Final T poses & Set Layout

Hey Everybody,

       Had to take some time off to work on these items.  Been dealing with a slight stomach flu.  Anyways, these are final poses and some environment drawings.  I will be fixing up some layout designs for the 3/4 downshots.  Going to start storyboards and finishing up the 10 character poses.  Working away!!

T-POSES

Hey All,

        Been on hiatus for a bit, but I had some time to work on the characters.  Brian gave a thumbs up for character designs so very happy with that.  I have some tweaking to do but all in all i'm happy with these.   I did some roughs of T-poses for Hansel, Grethel and the witch/school mistress.  Will be working a floor plan and some perspective views soon.!!!

Colour Concepts

Hey Everyone,

        Had many assignments to keep up on as many of you already know what's on our animation agendas!  Thought I'd just post a quick layout.  These are the final character layouts with some colour concepts.  Kept the tone gothic but still applicable to children.  Will be posting some T-poses with location roughs.  Enjoy the weekend everyone!!

1st Polished Roughs

Hey All,
      Well, been working on my sketches.  I got some feedback from Brian and he helped me come up with some more AWESOME looking drafts for Hansel & Grethel. They definitely look more Tim Burtonesque inspired.  I had help with Hansel and then traced on top and gave it more feminine features and ended up with Grethel in the same type of gothic look.  I may actually make Hansel's face a bit more wider and Grethel a bit shorter.  These are the recent drawings for now.  Will be working on different looks over the weekend!!!

      Just posting up some more polished drawings for Hansel & Grethel. They are more complete with their clothing.  I may digital outline and shades these but I will wait a bit until I get feedback.  Stay tuned...!

Preliminary Drawings-Hansel+Grethel

Hi Everyone,

    So I was surfing around and found the look I'm going for and these are some of the images.  I also did some drawings of Hansel & Grethel.  I also drew some clothing ideas that I want to use.  I will be posting a rough storyline later & some colour concepts,but basically Hansel & Grethel were sent to a boarding school by their parents.  The head-mistress/teacher  is really cruel towards them.  More evil towards Grethel.  (Hence why she wanted to throw her in the oven...) They are mistreated and given hard, labourous chores to do; sometimes sent to bed with little to no food etc.  They want to escape this hell and decide one night to run away...i'm still thinking about which direction I want to go..either they run away, or the head-mistress lures them into the forest...still coin tossing that one; and then the story starts from there.  Anyways, that's the premise so far.  Keep watching!!!

Image Influence

Hey All,

  Well I found my ref images.  Think I will use these character looks and modify them for Hansel and Grethel.  I'm sticking with the traditional story...sometimes it's better not to tamper with a classic.  Will be drawing up some sketches and mix and matching styles.  Stay Tuned for more!!!
